You Are Here (Valentine Willie Fine Art)
You are Here is a group exhibition focusing on ideas of land, topography, mapping and memory of place. “How do we respond to our surrounding? How do we remember a particular time and place?”; “How does nostalgia affect our memory of place, and how do we make sense of the space that we inhabit?” These will be among the issues raised by participating artists from Southeast Asia and Australia. This show will present an eclectic mix of voices ranging from young emerging names to older established figures. We will see a diverse range of media, from painting to photography, from sculpture to installations and video works.
