HSBC Bank Malaysia presents HSBC Classics Wind Festival 2006

8th August to 13th August
a production of The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre

HSBC Bank Malaysia unders its HSBC in the Arts banner is presenting HSBC Classics for the second year running. The Wind Festival will showcase both local and international talents including the KL Hardbop Band, PJ Youth Symphonic Band as well as world renowned flautist, Andrea Griminelli, and his ensemble of top European musicians.

As part of the festival, an exhibition of wind instruments along with workshops on instrument care will be held by Yamaha Music Malaysia. A free service and consultation on wind instruments will also be provided by Yamaha. The Wind Competition Finals and a free open rehearsal by High Winds ensemble will also take place during the festival.

9 August at 8.30pm - Wind & Piano Recital (by Andrea Griminelli & his ensemble)
10 August at 8.30pm - Jazz Concert (by the KL Hardbop Band)
11 August at 8.30pm - Wind Quintet in Concert (by Andrea Griminelli & his ensemble)
12 August from 10am to 4pm - Wind Competition Finals
12 August at 8.30pm - Symphonic Band in Concert (by PJ Youth Symphonic Band)
