ISME 2006 - Festival "Sentuhan"

The 27th ISME World Conference, ISME 2006, will be held in Kuala Lumpur for the very first time. ISME 2006's theme "Sentuhan" transcends cultural and racial barriers as it reaches out to "touch" and be "felt" by all. Sentuhan explains the crucial role that music plays in human life, the importance of music education, and Malaysia reaching out to "touch" the world in our uniquely Malaysian way.

The fringe festival in conjunction with ISME 2006 will see more than ten local and international ensembles performing at KLPac over a four-day period. These talented musicians will be performing a wide range of music such as jazz, traditional Japanese court music and choral music. For more information about the ensembles please CLICK HERE.
