KLPac presents two critically acclaimed youth choirs from South Africa – The Pretoria High School for Girls (PHSG) choir and the Pro Cantu Youth Choir (also from Pretoria) – who will be performing for one-night only in Pentas 1. Both choirs have received numerous accolades and regularly participate in choir competitions and eisteddfods.

The Pretoria High School for Girls (PHSG) choir has won the Pretoria Eisteddfod on several occasions, while the Pro Cantu Youth Choir has won the Pretoria International Choir Competition and two gold medals at the Second Choir Olympics in 2002.

The repertoire for the night, which reflects the two choirs’ multi-cultural backgrounds, comprises both Western and traditional African pieces from the Afrikaans, Ovambo, Zulu and Xhosa traditions. Malaysia’s own The Kuala Lumpur Children Choir and Tarcisian High School Choir from Ipoh will perform as guests.
