A Japanese tourist loses her child in South East Asia; the ghost of a hanged Filipina maid demands justice; a Singaporean man decides it’s time for a new beginning; a Thai monk tries to be calm.

As the world becomes more mobile, has it also become more foreign?

Directed by Alvin Tan and Tatsuo Kaneshita with Haresh Sharma as head writer, Mobile is a unique collaboration involving artists from Singapore, Thailand, The Philippines and Japan, dealing with stories of women and men who are affected by movement and migration. As the world becomes more mobile, has it also become more foreign?

World Premiere at the Singapore Arts Festival on 17 and 18 June 2006 Performed in multi-languages with English subtitles.
